I can’t believe it’s been so long since I last put anything on my page!!
As you can imagine I’ve not been twiddling my fingers, in fact the studio has seen many stitchers, old & new, come by to take classes or catch up over a pot of tea & a biscuit. I’ve just been sadly very slow on posting about any of it.
So here’s one story – the middle of last month on a sunny Sunday afternoon the lovely Alison & Katharine came to learn machine embroidery. It always amazes me how using the same technique everyone finds there own style & can create such different work. Katharine, a talented artisan herself wrote a bit on her own blog about the session. Here’s the link to it http://www.oldtown-studio.com/ you have to scroll back through a few of her posts as she’s a busy lady & has blogged about other things she’s done since. I get so excited teaching this technique that it is nice to hear how much my students enjoy it to! She explains the afternoon so well.
So if you would like to come learn machine embroidery let me know I will try to fit in a class before the end of the year.
If you’re just starting your sewing journey I do have a beginners sewing class this coming Saturday, 12th September, 10.30 – 12.30 to learn the basics of working on your machine. Get in touch if you would like to come along.
